I always wondered...

Why Santa never seemed to get my letters when I was a kid. Turns out that Santa lives in Kyrgyzstan, not the North Pole; that or a bunch of Swedish engineers had way too much time on their hands.

Letters of recommendation

As some know, I've recently applied to several PhD programs in biomedical engineering. While there's always some uncertainty with these sorts of things, I'm fairly certain I didn't get any letters of recommendation like this.
